Important Fitment Notes — Read Before Installing

❌ Does NOT fit:

  • Power Wagon models
  • Rebel models (equipped with factory 1"–2" lift)
  • Models equipped with rear air ride suspension

⚠ Shock Note: Stock shocks are compatible with the 2" and 2.5" lift options. Extended shocks or shock extensions are recommended for the 3" lift option.

Safety

To ensure safety while installing suspension products, always wear safety glasses and use the correct tools.


Required Tools

  • Floor jack and jack stands
  • Torque wrench
  • Socket set — metric and standard
  • Wheel chocks
  • Safety glasses and gloves

Installation Steps

Step 1 — Loosen Radius Arm Bolts

Securely chock the rear tires and loosen the radius arm bolts at both the frame and axle side. Only loosen them enough to allow the bushings to pivot easily. Leaving the bushings tight can damage the rubber when lowering the axle.

Step 2 — Raise the Vehicle and Support on Jack Stands

Use a floor jack to raise the front of the vehicle. Place jack stands beneath the frame rails just behind the radius arm frame mounts and lower the vehicle onto them. Keep a jack under the front axle so you can lower it further later on.

Step 3 — Remove the Front Wheels

Remove both front wheels.

Step 4 — Shocks

If you have purchased new shocks, remove and discard the old ones. If you are reusing the factory shocks, remove the lower shock bolts and set the shocks aside.

Step 5 — Disconnect the Sway Bar Links and Brake Hose Bracket

Remove the top nuts from the sway bar links on both sides and lift the sway bar off the links. Remove the brake hose bracket from the lower coil spring seat.

Step 6 — Lower the Axle and Release Coil Spring Pressure

Slowly lower the floor jack under the axle to release the pressure off the coil springs. This creates enough space between the upper coil spring and the coil spring bucket to install the leveling spacer.

Step 7 — Install the Leveling Spacer

Place the Apoc Industries leveling spacer directly against the coil bucket — the spacer sits flush against the coil bucket with the rubber coil spring insulator between the spacer and the coil spring. Ensure the spacer is fully seated and centered in the bucket before reinstalling the coil spring.

Step 8 — Raise the Axle and Seat the Coil Spring

Slowly raise the floor jack under the axle to seat the coil spring up against the leveling spacer and coil bucket. Verify everything is seated correctly before proceeding.

Step 9 — Reinstall Sway Bar Links, Brake Hose Bracket, and Shocks

Reattach the brake hose bracket and sway bar link nuts. Install new shocks now or reattach the factory shocks. Torque all fasteners to the specs provided below.

Step 10 — Install Wheels

Install the front wheels and tighten the lug nuts to the specs provided below.

Step 11 — Lower the Vehicle and Torque Radius Arm Bolts

Lower the vehicle to the ground after removing the jack stands, then torque the radius arm bolts to the specs provided below.

Step 12 — Final Inspection

Verify that nothing is rubbing and that the brake hoses are not pinched before driving.

Sway bar link nut 68 ft-lbs
Radius arm bolts 222 ft-lbs
Lug nuts 130 ft-lbs

Post-Installation Instructions

  • After driving for 500 miles, re-torque all fasteners and inspect all components visually.
  • Have the vehicle aligned to factory specifications after installation — do not skip this step.
  • Adjust headlights to proper settings after leveling.
  • Before driving, visually inspect all components to ensure they are functioning properly.
