1999-2004 Ford Super Duty F-250 Boxed Ladder / Traction Bars
ADJUSTABLE TRACTION BAR KIT
The majority of these trucks had a 10.5" Sterling rear axle which will have a fill plug on the back diff cover. If you do not have a fill plug in the rear diff cover, verify your axle tube diameter. The larger Dana 80 rear axle will have a 4" tube instead of the 10.5 sterling 3.5" axle tube diameter. We offer mounts for both axles, please get in touch with us if you have the larger axle, or we will send the standard 3.5" axle clamp.
(Some models will require removal or trimming of the skid plate on the side of the fuel tank for clearance)
Apoc's adjustable Tubular traction bars are a bolt-on kit to easily enhance the look of your Ford Super Duty Pick up and add much-needed support for your rear suspension. Today's trucks can put some serious power to the ground, causing wheel hop and leaf spring damage; stock or lift your vehicle will benefit from a quality set of traction bars. If your truck uses lift blocks, then a set of traction bars will add needed stability to your rear suspension. Our simple bolt-on kit clamps around your rear axle housing and volts to your frame; drilling will be required for the frame mount unless you weld it on. The design team also added an adjustable end to allow adjustments for easier installation. If you decide to lift your truck after installing our traction bars, you can adjust the bar to fit with the added lift without having to drill more holes or purchase a longer traction bar.
Traction Bars are 82" in length. Axle Clamps are replaced with U-Bolt Plates to prevent axle twisting.
